As soon as we saw Cluny Castle we knew it was the venue for us.
We worked closely with Cosmo, the owner of the castle and his amazing staff including Fiona and Louise who helped us book and organise our wedding. Unfortunately, in March 2020, Covid-19 struck so our June 2020 wedding was postponed. The venue were amazing and took away the stress of having to re-organise.
After two postponements, we finally got married at the stunning Cluny Castle in Aberdeenshire on 19th June 2021. Even with the Covid-19 restrictions, it was the most perfect day. Our close friends and family stayed with us in the Castle for our Wedding weekend, it was a weekend of luxury.
Our wedding ceremony took place within the Chapel at Cluny Castle and was carried out by our family minister. The Champagne reception took place within the Castle itself – in the beautiful Drawing Room and Library. We had our evening reception in the beautiful Tenant’s Hall of the Castle.
Elopements aren’t for everyone but for Irina and Pierre, it really was the dream. Their big day at Cluny Castle was beautiful and sunny, and they genuinely had the best time just the two of them, as they had always wanted.
They got to spend quality time with each other, savouring every second of their wedding day, in a special place which will remain very dear to their hearts. And that is why elopements are so wonderful, not to mention the excellent photoshoot opportunities and the luxury five-course meal!

While steeped in history, this 15th century mansion is far from being a museum piece. In fact, it is a much-loved family home to Cosmo Linzee Gordon who inherited the property in 2010. With the help of his wife Bronya, Cosmo is determined to preserve the castle and breathe life into the historic building that has been in his family for generations.
