Cluny is available for a limited number of private stays, celebrations, and events throughout the year—for family gatherings, milestone celebrations, corporate retreats, and quiet escapes. The castle and its grounds are yours for the duration, with no other guests, no interruptions, and no sense that it was set up for your arrival. It is simply a home, opened up for the people staying in it.

Dating back to the 16th century, Cluny has been thoughtfully restored across the generations while retaining its Scottish character. Today, it is home to Cosmo and Bronya Linzee Gordon, and that sense of a building genuinely loved for centuries is present in every room.

From the moment you arrive, you are surrounded by hundreds of years of history: antique paintings, family portraits, vintage homewares, and the accumulated detail that only time can produce.

Settle in and spoil your guests with the warmest of welcomes

Cluny has 15 individually decorated bedrooms sleeping up to 30 guests, allowing you to enjoy the castle as your own private country residence. Whether you are extending a wedding weekend or gathering the family for a few days, the castle is yours—and yours alone—and the experience of waking up here, with acres of Aberdeenshire countryside outside the window, is one that is hard to replicate anywhere else.
